Finally she sprung out of the disappearing mud, and landed softly on some warm, smooth sand. It felt so soft against her paw pads. She fell onto her muddy back, it almost sounded completely silent. She could secretly train here, for her hunting. Which would soon become a training session for her. In the rough dirt and grass, all spiky and wet, no thanks. She could leap and run boldy through the quiet sand. All warm and dry! She felt as if she was meant to live in the sand, as her light tan pelt matched it's sweet colour. She tried to keep her excitement in her skin, but instead, like all clumsy newbies, she let out an ear piercing bark. She shut her mouth quickly, her pupil becoming the size of a period. Oh no.. She darted to a sandy willow tree nearby, she felt disappointed as the sand faded away, and long, green shards of grass appeared before her brown eyes. She jumped up high, and landed on the thick tree branch. She inserted her thorn sharp claws into the branch. She sounded so stealthy, maybe she could be a skilled hunter! Sketch started to enjoy leaping branch to branch, it was fun! Therefore she continued, branch to branch, for the first time, she happily smiled, other times it was nervous, but now it was real. Oh did she ever enjoy this pack now! The other pack members would be happy in her sudden change in mood. Hopefully they wouldn't bother to ask why such a jump in my mood. Sketch decided it was time to become sad again, wander through the gross mud, and return home. Besides, she was starting to get hungry. As if her stomach agreed, it growled roughly. Yeah, she should get home before she starts starving. Maybe she wasn't exactly starving yet, and she could stay for about half an hour until she truly needed food, but it took her 30 minutes to travel from here to her pack territory. Moping, she started to turn back, and return home the achy way she came.

15 Minutes later, pop pop pop, she was in the yucky mud again. Her head lay low with frustration. Now she's back to the mud when she could be in the nice warm sand. All of a sudden, it hit her, oh it hit her HARD right in the head, her head that didn't have much in it, to be honest. Sketch forgot that if she arrived in mud at her camp, it would be suspicious, she had honestly forgotten that she was even muddy, not until it whammed her right in her clumsy head. She needed to wash this mud off, now why didn't she think to do this at the beach? Probably because she forgot she was muddy, she thought. Now, if you were busy walking IN mud, where would you get RID of it? She wasn't about to turn back, she would be hungry for the last 15 minutes of it, yeesh, and who knows how long it will take to remove the mud that seems to have dried on her skin from the warmth of the beach and the long walk and branch leaping, and everything she did after she was covered in mud.

Sketch felt the mud settling in on her fur. She wasn't about to let this happen. Her first thought, was to scratch the dry mud away. So, she lifted her hind leg, and started to scratch. She felt relieved, well, only because she hadn't itched for what seemed like painful ages. The crusty mud peeled off and fell, only the dried mud. She had mud on her paws from walking right now, and it was fresh. All the mud from before had peeled off, luckily. Now, she had to walk OUT of the mud to clean her paws off, if she washed the mud away and returned to the disgusting, bubbling mud, then she would get muddy again. So why would she do all that hard work, to end up in the same situation? But where would a place to clean off be off the trail? Would she wait that 15 minutes until the mud dried up and she could scratch again? Her eyes opened wide and looked at the log in front of her curiously. Before she knew it, she was climbing up the slippery log, waiting for the mud in her fur at her legs would dry up so she could once again scratch.

(It's fine the first few times, but try not to do it too much)
Sulferia heard squishing sounds. "What's that?" she thought to herself. She went to investigate the mud, and saw a tan and brown wolf in there. It looked to be Sketch. "You need any help there, Sketch?" she called to her. After all, Sketch was the newest pack member. It was best to explore to be familiar with everything, first, right? And it seemed that Sketch needed some help. As she stepped into the mud, she gagged, making her way toward Sketch. "Come on, this way." she told Sketch, as she walked out of the mud towards the land.

She finished climbing over the log and was surprised to see Beta Sulferia standing before her eyes. " Come on this way " she heard the beta tell her. Obeying the second in command wolf, she followed the grey wolf towards land. " I'm hungry " She complained. She thought about the beach area she had found. " Oh, I found a cool.. Place " She muttered. " I can take you there sometime maybe.. "

"Follow me tot he food pile." Sulferia said. She walked over to where the food pile was. "Here we are! Come and eat." she told the third-in-command wolf. Sulferia also took a piece of food, as she was hungry as well. She had taken a small-looking elk. It'd probably do. SHe then started digging into it, until she was full.

Skit stuck her tongue out happily as she dug into what seemed to be a brown rabbit. The juicy flesh felt so delicious on her taste buds. Quickly she finished the hare, and moved onto a large grey rat. The tangy meat tasted wonderful aswell. Once she finished this meal, she was full. " Thanks for the food, I really was starting to get hungry there " She didn't know what action to use to show a thank you, so she awkwardly nuzzled the wolf, trying not to be weird about it. As if she sensed confusion would come in the beta, she barked " Sorry, I didn't know what to do as an act of thanks " She nervously looked at the ground.

"Oh, as an act of thanks, you don't necessarily have to do an action. The most important ones are submission and howling, after all. And you're welcome." Sulferia said. She then rolled onto her back, with her tail tucked between her legs and her neck showing. This was to show that she was a high-ranking wolf. She didn't have the highest rank, though. She knew that even high ranking wolves showed submission, however.

Oh.. Silly me then. Skit said, as she wiped the juicy flesh remains off of her muzzle. Thanks for the food, it was most certainly delicious, as I said before. She didn't hesitate to speak again, therefore she continued. What shall we do now? I can show you that place I found. She turned her head towards the log that lead to the mud, and soon to the beautiful beach.

"Oh, cool! Undiscovered land, eh?" Sulferia asked, interested. She followed the tan and brown wolf through the sticky mud. "I wonder whee it is." she thought to herself.

" Keep coming in nasty mud, it soon leads to paradise. Yucky mud will soon turn into a dirt trail, and once you see sand, then we're getting close ". Skit traveled with the gray wolf, until she was finally familiar with her surroundings, and knew they were getting closer. She read out exactly what her mind thought, " We're getting closer, you see, here's the dirt trail! " Skit happily skidded onto the tan dirt trail. She expected sand particles to soon appear. " Just wait, the sand bits will soon appear, then we're really close ". She seemed very excited to share her wonderful find with the beta. " Keep coming " She said eagerly.

"Okay!" the second-in-command grey wolf replied eagerly. Finally, she saw the first few grains of sand. "Are we here?" Sulferia asked. She made pawprints on the ground with every pawstep, since she'd been wallowing in the mud a long time. It'd dry and be able to be scratched off. Eventually

Almost, almost. Skit said, honestly. But we're very close, almost there. Wait, there it is! Skit lashed her tan tail, and eagerly trotted over to the warm, soft beach. Just look at those willow trees, I really do enjoy leaping on them from branch to branch! Running across the humid sand, Skit approached the willow trees.

"Whoa! This is truly a paradise! Nice work, Skit!" Sulferia exclaimed. She gasped when she saw the willow trees. The soft, humid sand was very different from the camp and dens. How she never knew this place existed she didn't know.
